Hello from Tampa, Florida! I’m Suzanne, a wife and a mother of one grown, recently married son. I have been a school teacher, tennis shop owner, military wife, stay-at-home Mom, and Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer, separately and in that order. My ongoing six years of service in the Auxiliary’s gift shop at one of Florida’s largest women’s hospitals exposed me to the many items available for new babies. Most of these products are outdated and are no longer unique.

In early 2009, I decided to develop a special fun way to celebrate a baby’s birth. From observing new parents, their family, and friends visiting our gift shop, I learned that they search for items with these similarities:

• Pink color for Girls or Blue for Boys
• Announcing: It’s a Girl or It’s a Boy
• Something to include Big Sister or Big Brother
• Something to personalize with Baby’s information

With the help of my family and friends and working with one of the oldest candy companies in the U.S.A., I designed a unique product to satisfy these demands. In June of 2010, my idea was finally "born".

Our little foot-shaped hard candies, pink for Girls or blue for Boys, come in a beautiful Keepsake Box. The “Delivery Stork”, the colors Pink for Girls or Blue for Boys, and the Gingham box are instantly recognized to be associated with a new birth. The Birth Certificate on the back of the box can be personalized with Baby’s information. The pink strawberry or blue raspberry flavored candies, which can be safely stored, are not affected when mailed during hot weather. Our candies and all of our packaging are made in the U.S.A.

• Is there a more unique way to announce sonogram results when you learn if it’s a girl or boy?
